Hi, my name is Sarah Butler (also known as essbee).

I love my job!

I’ve worked in both B2C and B2B environments in a range of industries based in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. I am one of only approximately 600 Certified Practising Marketers in Australia.

I have marketed the heck out of everything from cruises, resorts, casinos, magazines, and technology - even toilets (they were flash toilets though!)

I love helping businesses achieve maximum impact with minimum cost then empowering them by providing the tools and guidance to take the marketing of their business into their own hands (if they wish).

As a senior Marketing Manager I have had an amazing career working for international businesses including Kathmandu where I planned, managed, and art-directed month-long photoshoots, twice a year with teams of up to 12 in places like Canada and Vietnam.

Virgin Records’ Special Marketing Projects department in London started my career with a bang (joke) before commencing with a tertiary education provider in Christchurch, NZ with over 20,000 pupils where I was responsible for a multi-million-dollar budget, a creative studio, defining branding and advertising strategies and their execution.

After being shaken out of Christchurch in 2011 I headed the marketing departments at two integrated resort-casinos in Australia including Jupiters owned by The Star Entertainment Group (Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast) where I drove a rebrand to The Ville Resort-Casino as ownership changed to The Colonial Leisure Group (also owners of Orpheus Island, Nautilus Aviation, and Mt Mulligan Luxury Lodge).

I developed the domestic sales and international public relations functions for small expedition cruise ship company Coral Expeditions and was Group Marketing Manager for Sunlover Reef Cruises, one of the largest operators on the Great Barrier Reef with 100,000 guests per year.

It was here that I created media content that featured internationally in publications such as The Washington Post, and hosted the BBC Blue Planet film crew.

Australian software startup business Chat2 recruited me to launch their bespoke tourism and hospitality product during lockdown so I became adept at B2B digital marketing, genuine lead generation, sales funnels, and CRM integration.

I am also a teacher now - fully qualified and a subject matter expert in marketing and communications for TAFE Queensland.

Your location or mine is no obstacle to engaging my services. I am also happy to travel to meet with my clients, seeking a reprieve from the hair-frizzing humidity of the tropics.
